The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) invites Online Applications from eligible candidates for Punjab Civil Service (Judicial Branch) Examination 2013 to be conducted  by the Punjab Public Service Commission  for Department of Home Affairs and Justice, Government of Punjab :

Civil Judge (Junior Division) cum Judicial Magistrate : 71 posts, Pay Scales : Rs. 27700 – 40450, Age : 21 – 37 years as on 31/3/2013. Age relaxation as per Punjab Govt. rules., Qualification :  Degree of Bachelor of Laws as on 31/03/2013

Examination Fee

1 The candidates are required to pay the examination fee as mentioned below: Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes of all States and Backward Classes of Punjab : Rs.625/-

Ex-Servicemen of Punjab : No Fee to be paid All Others Categories (including Lineal Descendent of Ex-servicemen, Punjab) : Rs. 2500/-

Physically Handicapped, Punjab : Rs. 1250/-

2 The candidates entitled to examination fee concession/exemption MUST submit with their Application Form, self attested copy of the certificate certifying their claim for fee concession/exemption. Candidates who do not submit such a certificate shall not be entitled to examination fee concession/exemption under any circumstances.

How to Apply :  Apply Online at Punjab PSC  only. Take print out of the system generated application form and send it with relevant documents .

General Instructions:

1 The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has been established under Article 315 of the Constitution of India, with the basic purpose of recruiting officials in various departments of the Government as per the requisitions sent by the Government in this regard from time to time.

2 The Punjab Public Service Commission invites Online Application Form from eligible Candidates for the Punjab Civil Service (Judicial Branch) Examination -2013 to be conducted jointly by the Punjab Public Service Commission

3. The Preliminary Examination shall be of objective type questions with multiple choices (which can be scrutinized by Computer) as distinguished from the main written examination which shall be subjective/narrative type.

4. The question paper for the Preliminary examination shall be of two hours duration, it shall consist of 125 questions and each question shall carry 04 marks and for every wrong answer

5. The candidates shall also be tested for their analytical skills and aptitude. The standard of questions shall be of graduate level.  The object of the Preliminary Examination is to shortlist candidates for the Main Examination.

6. The candidates applying for the Preliminary Examination should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission at all the stages of examination for which they are admitted by the Commission viz.

7. Candidates who are employed should submit hard copy of the application form to the office of Punjab Public Service Commission under intimation to their employer at this stage.

8. Candidates should ensure that the signatures appended by them in all the places viz. in their application form, attendance sheet etc.

9. The candidates entitled to examination fee concession/exemption MUST submit with their Application Form, self attested copy of the certificate certifying their claim for fee concession/exemption.

10. If candidate belongs to Sports Person, Punjab Category, an attested copy of Gradation Certificate strictly in accordance with the Punjab Sportsman Rules, 1988 issued by the Competent Authority should be attached with the application form.

About the organization:  
The Joint Public Service Commission, the precursor of the Punjab Public Service Commission, with its writ running from the Khyber Pass to the Jamuna near Delhi, was born at Lahore on May 1,1937. In the wake of the Partition, the Punjab Public Service Commission resurged in February, 1948, at Shimla with its revised jurisdiction extending over the then province of East Punjab. Following the merger of the States of Punjab and Pepsu, it shifted to Patiala on Nov.1st,1956. On 1stNov1966, its territorial jurisdiction again decreased due to the formation of the States of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Candidates are advised to go through the General Information and Online Instructions carefully before filling up Online Application Form. Request of change/Correction in any particular in the Application Form shall not be entertained under any circumstances. The Commission/ High Court will not be responsible for any consequence arising out of in correct filling up of Application Form.
