Applications are invited from eligible and suitable officers for filling up of various posts of Deputy General Manager (Legal), Deputy Director(PDF), Field Officer, Legal Officer, Estate Officer, & Private Secretary on deputation basis. The pay of the officer selected for appointment on deputation basis will be regulated in terms of DOPT’s O.M. No.2/29/91-Estt. (Pay.II), dated 05.01.1994 and its subsequent orders issued from time to time. The location of posts will be SFAC Head Quarter, New Delhi. The details of post, eligibility conditions etc. are given as under:-

Staff : 04

Pay Scale: Rs.15,000/- per month consolidated.

Educational Requirements: Graduate in Commerce/Business Administration or equivalent

Experience Requirements: Fresher/3-5 year’s experience having computer efficiency in excel & typing

How To Apply: Applications of only such officers/candidates will be considered as are routed through proper channel and are accompanied with (i) Bio data as in the proforma given (Annexure-I) (ii) Attested photocopies of ACRs for the last five years (ACRs to be attested by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary) (iii) Vigilance clearance/Integrity Certificate and (iv) Statement giving details of major or minor penalties imposed on the officer, if any, during the last 10 years.

General Instructions:

1. Applications of only such officers/candidates will be considered as are routed through proper channel and are accompanied with (i) Bio data as in the proforma given (Annexure-I) (ii) Attested photocopies of ACRs for the last five years (ACRs to be attested by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary)

2. It is, therefore, requested that the applications of suitable and eligible officers and who can be spared immediately in the event of selection may be sent directly to the Managing Director, SFAC with a period of 60 days from the date of issue/publishing of this advertisement. The Consortium reserves the right to short-list the candidates based on qualifications, experience and suitability.

3. Applications received after the prescribed closing date is liable to be rejected.

4. For implementation of Venture Capital Assistance Scheme (VCAS)/Horticulture Mission for North East and Himalyan States (HMNEH), SFAC requires suitable persons on contract basis for a period of six month which can be extended/ curtailed, depending on the Schemes/allocation of funds.

5. Small Farmers’ Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) is a Society under the administrative control of Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Govt. of India. SFAC is implementing the Central Sector Schemes of Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India.

About the organization:

Indian agriculture today is essentially smallholder agriculture; as much as 83% of all cultivators are either marginal or small (which means that they till less than 2 hectares, or 5 acres, of land). The average landholding size has shrunk to 1.2 hectares. Yet across a range of parameters, from intensity of cultivation to per capita use of irrigation and fertilizer, small and marginal farmers are more productive and efficient than large landholders. The challenges that these small producers face can be summed up in three words: India is an agrarian economy and agriculture continues to be the mainstay of the Indian Economy, whose contribution to the national gross domestic product is about 25% and provides livelihood for nearly 65% of the population. It provides employment to about 65% of the labour force, which accounts for nearly 27% of GDP, it contributes 21% of the total export and raw material to several Industries. Agricultural sector has tremendous potential for expansion of employment opportunities and consequently mitigating the levels of rural poverty.
