Educational Qualification : A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the seven point scale. The Ph.D. degree shall be desirable but not an essential qualification. At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in AGP of Rs.7000/- and above or with 8 years of service in the AGP of Rs. 8000/- and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in education administration, or Comparable experience in a research establishment and/ or other institutions of higher education or 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.The minimum requirement of 55% marks at the Master’s degree level shall not be insisted upon for the existing incumbents who are already in the University system.

Completed application accompanied by attested copies of all certificates, mark-sheets, proof of age, documents in support of present position and pay,etc. and a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1000/- (in case of SC/ST Rs.500/-) by Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Registrar, Gauhati University” payable at SBI, G.U. Branch must reach the office of the “The Professor-Director, UGC-Academic Staff College, Gauhati University, Guwahati-14” by last date.
